A committed researcher working on cancer biology!

Tryambak completed his PhD at Department of Biochemistry, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has been working on elucidating the role of the Androgen Receptor in the pathogenesis of Breast Cancer. This prospective study was carried out simultaneously in cell lines and the subjects with breast cancer undergoing surgical interventions at AIIMS, New Delhi. His doctoral research was assisted by a group of basic scientists, pathologists, surgeons; medical, surgical, and laboratory oncologists. He remains grateful to the generous funding support from the ICMR, DHR, and SERB for laboratory funding and CSIR-UGC in terms of senior research fellowship.

Tryambak obtained his B.Sc. B.Ed. dual degrees from the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar, a constituent unit of NCERT, New Delhi. Following his graduation, he joined South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi for an M.Sc. in Biotechnology. In his master’s dissertation, he checked the efficacy of a maturation inhibitor drug against the HIV-1 subtype C. Tryambak advocates open access to knowledge and information.

An amateur linguist, he communicates his science, blogs, and thoughts on this website and Twitter. Please feel free to connect. May the mitochondria be with you…

Involved in clinical cancer research for over 7 years

An extensive training in a tertiary care research hospital has endowed Tryambak with a robust understanding of integrating molecular biology into clinical research. He is proficient in advanced molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, and the handling of clinical samples.

I specialize in clinical research, applying rigorous methodologies to advance our understanding of science for the benefit of patient care.

My expertise in molecular biology allows me to explore the complexities of cellular mechanisms and genetic interactions.

My work on breast cancer, has helped uncover novel prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for improved outcomes for cancer patients

With a track record of achievements, I have successfully managed administrative responsibilities alongside my research commitments.

My academic profile

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Siwan

I attended the prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Siwan for my schooling. Successfully passed the High School and Intermediate examinations under the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. This prepared me for a career in science and shaped me immensely

Regional institute of Education, Bhubaneswar

I graduated with an integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. degree at the RIE, Bhubaneswar. This program laid the foundation for both scientific knowledge and educational methodologies, preparing me for a multifaceted career in science education.

South Asian University, New Delhi

I obtained an M.Sc. in Biotechnology degree at SAU, New Delhi, an international university founded by SAARC. At SAU, I was actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, contributing to both the university and inter-university platforms.

Ph.D. in Biochemistry at AIIMS, New Delhi

As a Ph.D. candidate at AIIMS, New Delhi, I investigated the Androgen Receptor’s role in Breast Cancer. My work encompassed both basic science experiments and clinical studies, aiming to uncover novel therapeutic targets for patients with breast cancer.
